Too Darn Hot

It's so hot it's agonizing. As some of you might know, I'm quite precise with my style. I'd hardly endanger my authority by wearing some silly pants with cut-in-half legs or dressing some bright coloured, eye insulting sleeveless shirts. So as I'm clinging to the remains of my credibility by wearing black robes, I'm doomed to spend all these sunny and hot-as-a-steaming-cauldron days closely in the dungeons.

Severus Snape is property of J.K Rowlings, the author of Harry Potter -books the writings are mine though.

  1. Yes, we share thoughts on this one too. Summer is probably my least favorite season because I am forced to see people exposing their flesh. The sight is often revolting.
I hope this weather that dooms you to stay inside, will also encourage you to write more, because this entry made me smile.

  2. I totally agree. This constant agreeing is starting to be a little tedious, but I'll just try to endure, since you are my only reader. Not that I'm in a need of any more.

And yes, perhaps I'll write more often, if this ludicrous heat doesnt' melt my brain. Hmm... I just might need to brew something to prevent it...

  3. 'Tis too hot. I'm wilting like a snowdrop in the sun at the moment. You look nice in white Severus, and you can still cover yourself up, as you always seem so determined to do, but still be cool, if you would just wear that white shirt and those tan trousers I bought you for your birthday last year.

Of course, I am well aware that this is probably asking too much. So melt on, Love, bake away...

;-) I know you hate it when I say this, but you are just too 'cute' sometimes.

  4. Lily, my love, is it too much to hope that after all these years you'd be as familiar with my dress code as you are with my strong opinions (no, it's not stubbornness, just firmness of charater).

But to show you my willingness to please you, I may consider wearing that white linen shirt. If situations gets really heated up, I might even roll it's sleeves up, but not in a million years will I ever humiliate myself by putting on those trousers. The colour is closer to kneazel's vomit than "tan". And even the sound of that colour is foul to me. For me there is black and white, but tan? Never.

    I'm not cute.

You are the only person who can even hint something as absurb as that, and live to tell the tale.

  5. Dear Snape, maybe you should consider a holiday in the Alps. We've got nice cool weather here. And a bit of fresh air would do you good as well after all those years in the dungeons ;)

  6. Thank you Lola, your advice was very convenient. Albeit I still prefer the damp and aromatic air of the dungeons. But if I, for some reason not avoidable, have to spend a holiday, I'll defenitely consider the Alps.

  7. Great, Sir. And yes you are cute sometimes. That Lily is not the only one who notices though! xxx

  8. I'm sorry to hear that your dungeon is so hot. Does it throw your potions off? Or have you had to postpone making some potions that require unbearable simmering...?
